Back to training

Exercise Training Log
The goal is strength building, endurance, and stamina.

Well, well, well or as my mother would say, "A well is a hole in the ground. What does that have to do with anything?" Not a darn thing, Mom!

Turns out first training attempt was total fail. I got discouraged, bored, and apathy set in. Boo hoo. Call the wwaambulance. Then I painted the bedroom. It's a nice size. Turned out real nice with the fresh paint on the trim and all. I didn't think much of it till my body turned on me. I was sore for the next three days. That sucked. Not how I planned to spend my vacation. Although doing a bunch of nothing was nice too.

So I ask my self why the discouragement? Because I look at people and I believe it's all genetics as to whether or not you have a large butt and how it's all situated. I know people who are active physically. Hard active and yet they are still far from a willow reed.

I need to give up the myth that I can be what I was. It's not going to happen. I got old. Thats a good thing but it's something I need to accept. My goal is not a firm ass or flat stomach. The goal is strength building, endurance, and stamina.

So today we begin again. 1.5 miles on the treadmill 28.30 minutes. I need to double my time for the 5k in November. Steve reminded me not to over do it the first day.

I've got a lot of cooking to do today so I didn't walk the 3 miles. Training program says 20 minutes the first day. I should do this smart and listen. Let's hope the knee doesn't blow out.
