At the Etsy Store

For a cloudy, overcast, cold, somewhat rainy day, I got a heck of a lot done. The pictures were taken for the Etsy store. I took a gazillion pictures of Alicia wearing the Scott Pilgrim hat. She's as bad as Evelyn in that she is always on the move. Ninety percent of her pictures came out blurry. I got at least a few. Then I made Joey model. I only had to take three pictures. Each one came out perfect.  He was finished in under two minutes.

I also got the pictures taken for the latest vases that Steve has made and they are now listed as is the jewelry box.

Last but not least I listed the sock monkey hat. It is for a large head, but it actually did fit Evelyn too. I would have loved to have taken her picture with the hat, but she was to shy and ran from the camera.

Had a great time with the women at the spinning group yesterday, but there was one thing that was mentioned that bothered me a little. It has to do with stashes. So much money is spent on fabric stashes, yarn stashes, bead stashes, etc.

I really don't want that in my house. I am making a resolution that I will no longer buy yarn or fabric unless I have a specific project in mind. I don't care if the items are on sale. The money I save on not buying supplies I'm not ever going to use will more than make up for paying full price.

Today I cleaned out the trunk that I was storing yarn and a few stashes of fabric and UFO projects. I took my lovely brown sweater that everyone disliked because I had poof sleeves and popped it in the trash. I had cut the sleeves but I just couldn't get it unwound. Same as a strap I had knitted. It kept knotting at the ends when I tried to unravel it. There will be no recycling this time around.

I still have a lot of unused yarn, so no more new yarn for awhile. No more pattern books either. I have three new books not to mention all the older books that I've knitted a single thing from.

Here's the knitting plan:

  1. Finish knitting Scott Pilgrim Hat.
  2. Knit a smaller gray sock monkey hat.
  3. Knit the sweater from neck down pattern.
  4. Knit Bolo for friend.
That should keep me busy for a while along with writing the novel, reading books, and chasing babies.
