Rules For January Writing Prompt Contest Entry

Win a $10 Amazon Gift Card by entering the Writing Prompt Contest.

Some contests expect you to jump through hoops to enter them. Like my page, follow me on twitter, share on social media, blah, blah, blah. I'm all for it if you want to share and follow, but I'm not going to demand you do it in order to enter. Let's keep it simple and to the point, shall we? It's all about the story telling.

The rules are simple:

  1. The writing prompt contest begins January 1, 2016. Last entry accepted is January 31, 2016 9:00 PM, Pacific time. You can enter at anytime.
  2. The writing prompt will be announced January 1, 2016 5:00 AM Pacific Time.
  3. Spend a minimum of ten minutes on the writing prompt listed for January 1, 2016. I don't care how much time you actually put into it. I'll take your word for it that it was at least ten minutes.
  4. Share your story with me via google docs.  Invite me to review or comment by using the email writingpromptcontest@gmail.com
  5. Give one-time permission to publish your story on this website if (and only if) you are the winner. You retain all rights.
  6. You may submit multiple entries (different stories for the same writing prompt).
  7. The writing prompt contest begins January 1, 2016. Last entry accepted is January 31, 2016 9:00 PM, Pacific time.
  8. The prize is a ten dollar gift card from Amazon.
All entries will be reviewed. The winner  of the $10.00 Amazon gift card will be announced February 6, 2015. The winner's story will also be published on The Attic Ghost's blog.

Who are the judges?  Me, Myself, and I.  The story I find the most entertaining will be the winner.

I told you I would keep the entry rules simple. I recommend that you subscribe or come back to this blog on a daily basis and practice using the daily writing prompts. They can be fun and you might surprise yourself at what you come up with. Your simple prompt might even grown into a novel.

Now get busy writing. You can't win if you don't enter. Good luck.

Have fun. Keep on Writing.

How People React to House of Redemption

This video is why I write my stories. I had so much fun making this video and watching them react. It was a thrill to have them get pulled into the book even though they knew I was filming them. I have laughed all day.  I hope you enjoy the mini film.

The moment when ...

That moment happens to readers while reading House of Redemption  (wait for video to load).
