  1. Big Bob grimaced while sitting down the cup. The coffee was cold and bitter. Much like the house with its boxes filled with treasures from the home shopping network, old books and magazines, unused cooking utensils. He glanced up at the open pantry. Boxed pastas from a store that had closed over twenty years ago. Boxes filled with meally worms as dead as his recently deceased mother.
His shoulder bumped a box on the counter. It emptied into other boxes strewn across the floor. Bob picked up his cup and threw it against the sink. The cup shattered into small pieces. “Just like my life has always been.” Bob muttered. He wiped away the tears streaming down his face.
“It’s too much. I should just burn the place down and call it a day.”
“Maybe you can call the fire department. Have them do a controlled burn, practice for them, and then you won’t go to jail for arson.”
    Bob jerked around.
